inCiTe Photo Friday: Lightweight aggregate concrete

Lightweight aggregate concrete has several applications, such as heat insulation on roofs, screeds and thickening for general purposes, among others. It is prepared by using low density aggregate like clay, slate and volcanic pumice. In order to provide a good bond, it should have a minimum or large external voids, as well as a large number of smaller voids throughout the particles. (Learn more)
